A few weeks ago, I was contacted through Etsy by Carmen of Orimui, who wanted to know if I'd be interested in doing an interview for the UK Clay Users, a group of British based artisans specialising in all sorts of clay. I had recently joined their team on Etsy, and I was delighted to have been asked. What followed was a thought-provoking, enlightening and above all fun experience whereby Carmen emailed me single questions, and I emailed my replies. In this way, we built up an ongoing dialogue that was much more revealing and participatory than just working through a list of questions.
As a result, this has been the most in-depth interview I have ever given, and I am so glad to have had the chance to reflect on my journey so far. Thank you, Carmen, and happy reading!

Gosh, your work is amazing. You had the talent even at 8 years.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!
DeleteI adore your mice and other sculptures but the psychiatrist and patient are utterly amazing! I hope whatever his or her issues are, they are happily resolved :)
ReplyDeleteSo cute and now heading off to read your interview :)
They made me giggle a lot, and that's how I know when they're as they want to be, if that makes sense ;)
