This is one the first ever models I made, way back in 1999 when I first moved to Leeds from Scotland. He was made from air-dried clay, which I then painted. Even then, I was using black beads for eyes, and I kept the over-sized 'chops' when making later models.
I love the stripes on this cat - when I first returned to making a cat in July 2009, I wanted to create stripes by mixing two or more colours of polymer clay together. This was not very successful, and I feel that it may take some time before I perfect the technique.
